New Heaven, New Earth
Wow! New heaven and new earth!
What does it mean to you?
Let me tell you what it means to me.
New Heaven = New level of Spiritual Breakthrough
New Earth = New things that's coming because God has promised
Wow wow wow!
Rev 21:1-2
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
"no more sea" = Walking in faith.
Think about it. Its not possible to have no more sea right now. If God is going to bring new heaven and new earth (as defined above), then "no more sea" should come to pass as well. Why do I say that "no more sea" means walking in faith?
Remember Peter walked on water? That's FAITH! That's right! If in my mind, right before my eyes there's no more sea, it simply means I have to walk in faith! Because there's bound to be seas that I'll pass by as I fulfill God's calling. But God says that there's no more sea! It means I don't have to regard any "real" seas that is before me. All I need to do is to keep on walking! And walking in FAITH!
And the new Jerusalem.
New Jerusalem = New heart. New mind. New body. New spirit. New soul.
Acts 1:8
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Jerusalem is the starting place where evangelism took place. Jerusalem speaks of the heart. The act of evangelism starts in the heart of men. Without a change in heart, the gospel will not be able to reach to the ends of the earth.
"prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"
Bride = Believers
Husband = Jesus
So our hearts are prepared for Jesus.
In other words, God is preparing me for the coming of Christ. He's preparing me spiritually.
Right now, God is going to give me a breakthrough. And with that, I can serve Him in a way He wants me to serve.
Of course, that's not without a cost.
I need to pray more and seek the Lord more.
Mt 6:32-33
"For all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these thigns shall be added to you."
"As you begin to study the bible and spend more time in the presence of God, I'm sure you too will be an inspiration to many people." - Sun Ho
